One flaw is that failure of the new system can be a huge set back since there will be no back up. ii) Parallel Running In this method both the old and the new syste m are left running side by side during which the data fed into the old system is also fed into the new system. In the end, the old system is dropped but only after a proof that the new system is working well. Familiarity with change and good organization are fundamental for a business enterprise wishing to use the parallel method of system implementation. The method has the benefit that the old system can serve as backup in the event of failure of the new system. Also, the outputs of the two systems can be compared and this could be useful in evaluating the success level of the newly implemented system.
